MUMFORD AND SONS have announced that their new album, which they just wrapped work on, is due to drop on September 24 of this year. The new songs are said to be much along the lines of the band’s debut album, Sigh No More (10.09), but are infused with, of course, the band’s experiences as they gained in popularity over the past couple of years. They’re promoting songs both new and old with their current Gentlemen of the Road tour.

GOTYE has made an announcement of his own, namely that he’s set to embark on his biggest tour to date, which will kick off in mid-August. Gotye’s schedule will see him trekking through several landmark venues, including NYC’s Radio City Music Hall and Denver’s Red Rocks amphitheatre, and he’ll be bringing Brooklyn band Chairlift along as opening act. Gotye’s stops will include shows in Chicago (8.24), Seattle (9.1 for the Bumbershoot Fest), Los Angeles (9.4), Boston (9.22), the NYC Radio City show (9.25), and Atlanta (10.5) – no European dates are on the roster just yet.
