BENICASSIM 2013 is set for July 18-21 at the Benicassim concert venue in Castellon, Spain, with sets newly confirmed from Jake Bugg, Everything Everything, Miles Kane, The Coronas, The Courteneers, and La Roux, among others; the big headliners will be Arctic Monkeys and The Killers. August’s V Festival at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, England, has been confirmed, too, with its shows taking place August 17-18. The V Fest will include several of the same performers that will be making the rounds at Benicassim, with additions including Kings of Leon, Olly Murs, Beady Eye, Ellie Goulding, The Fratellis, and fun.

THE BREEDERS have released a 20th anniversary reissue of their Last Splash album, and it’s available as both a 3-CD set and a deluxe 7-LP vinyl box set. The box set is th uber-special version, and will contain four 10″ EPs, a 12″ live album, a BBC Radio session of the band, and original demos for the Last Splash album from November 1992. Of course, the usual photo-heavy accompanying booklet, including PR pics, personal tour photos, and tales of the road will also be included.

THE POSTAL SERVICE have a trio of July live shows on deck for your listening enjoyment as part of the band’s 10th anniversary tour, which will welcome back original Postal Service honorary member Jenny Lewis, who also sings again on the band’s latest album; the July shows will include stops in Vancouver, BC Canada (7.16), Portland, Oregon (7.17), and Berkeley, California on July 26 at the Greek Theater.
