PHOENIX, Wild Beasts, Ben Howard, Bastille, Warpaint, and The Black Keys are among the bands set for this year’s Open’er Festival lineup, which will take place at the Kosakowo Airport in Gdynia, Poland July 2-5. Interpol, Metronomy, Tourist, and Foster the People are also among the recent additions to the event, which includes four stages, food and beverage vendors, special festival artwork, and a Fashion Stage.

THE ISLE OF WIGHT Festival has also announced a bunch of its bands for its 2014 UK event, which is looking like another top-notch one for indie-rock fans. So far, Travis, Kings of Leon, and buzz artist John Newman are scheduled for the Wight stages, plus the likes of The Waterboys, The 1975, The Specials, and Gorgon City; Isle of Wight 2014 will take place June 12-15 at Seaclose Park in northeast Newport on the Isle.

THE KOOKS, who recently made some noise at Austin, Texas’ SXSW (South by Southwest) festival, where they previewed some new material, are letting fans who weren’t at SXSW get a sneak listen, too via Soundcloud. The new track was co-written by singer Luke Pritchard, and the band worked with hip-hop producer Inflo on the tune, which is expected to be included on their upcoming, as-yet-unnamed and as-yet-undated next album.
