FRIENDLY FIRES haven’t dropped any new music since their sophomore album, Pala, in 2011, but have finally at least offered up a new track that they recorded with The Asphodells that’s just out on the band’s own Telophase label. The song, tracked between FF frontman Ed Macfarlane’s basement studio and Asphodell Andrew Weatherall’s Shoreditch Studio, is called “Before Your Eyes,” is being offered up with B-side “Velo,” and can be previewed over at SoundCloud.

ARCADE FIRE have added Dan Deacon and Kid Koala as their supporting acts for their 2014 Reflektor tour of North America, with additional dates being scheduled through South America and Europe as you read this. AF’s tour started last month, and will continue through much of this year, the first leg of which will include stateside stops in Kansas City, Indio (Coachella Festival), Nashville, and New Orleans.

THE ORWELLS are prepping to release their second album this summer, which they recorded between Woodstock, NY and London with producer Jim Abiss. The new set will serve as the follow-up to the band’s 2012 debut, Remember When, and is expected before the summer’s out. In the meantime, The Orwells are taking to the road to pre-promote the album, which will include a set of five UK dates in June plus a plethora of festival appearances; the Chicago band’s last big show was at the NME Awards.
