EDITORS, Two Door Cinema Club, and Damon Albarn are topping the bill for this year’s 2014 Latitude Fest, July 17-20 in Southwold, Suffolk UK. And the list of performers doesn’t stop there – as Latitude keeps expanding, so does its roster, this year including sets from the likes of The Afghan Whigs, Conor Oberst, Bombay Bicycle Club, Tame Impala, Billy Bragg, Royksopp, Son Lux, and Crystal Fighters, among many, many others.

MORRISSEY’S legendary fourth solo album (and ostensibly his most popular to date), Vauxhall and I, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and is being reissued this week (June 2), remastered by L.A. sound guru Bill Inglot. The ‘new’ version of the set will be available on both CD and vinyl, and will be accompanied by a new set of photos; Morrissey’s brand new album, World Peace is None of Your Business, is also set to drop on July 15, complete with production from Killers collaborator Joe Chiccarelli; a video for “Istanbul” has already hit the internet.

THE SUNDAYS, last heard from in the late 1990s, when lead singer Harriet Wheeler walked away from the music business to focus on other things, are possibly – and we stress possibly – finally going to be returning with some new music, although when remains very much up in the air. While the band recently admitted that they’ve been writing some new songs, it looks like it’s going to be a long wait for Sundays fans, as there are zero confirmed plans so far for anything other than putting pen to paper.

PYXIS POINTS | It may be only June, but Kings of Leon are already embarking on a third leg of their Mechanical Bull Tour, which will hit amphitheaters beginning on July 31 in St. Louis, Missouri, with opening act Kongos | Buzz band Eagulls recently made their UK TV debut on Jools Holland’s show | Maroon 5’s fifth studio album has been titled, aptly, V, in groovy Roman numeral form, of course – and will drop on September 2 on the band’s new label home at Interscope Records | And this year’s FFF (Fun Fun Fun) Festival will hit Austin, Texas November 7-9, with headliners so far including Death Cab for Cutie, City and Colour, and Alt-J.  – Kristi Kates
